Saturday 4
June Delft
/ The Hague
Duration: 09:30 – 17:30 hrs
Price: € 75 per person (lunch included)
In Delft, a well-preserved old Dutch town and famous for its
‘Delft Blue’ Pottery, we take a walk through the old centre. After
lunch we continue to The Hague, the seat of the Dutch government
where we will have an extensive city tour including a visit to
Madurodam, the miniature town of Holland (entrance fee included in
tour price).
Volendam / Marken
Duration: 09:30 – 13:30 hrs
Price: included in accompanying person’s fee
Participants: € 30 per person
We visit the old fishing harbour of Volendam, a picturesque
village at the former Zuiderzee. By boat we cross the Zuiderzee to
Marken, a former island with its traditional costumes and wooden
houses on piles.

Walking excursion
through Amsterdam’s Jordan quarter and courtyards
Duration: 09:30 – 13:00 hrs
Price: € 30 per person
This excursion will show you a beautiful part of the old centre
of Amsterdam, famous for its canal houses, little streets and
neighbourhood shops. Get a taste of what Amsterdam was like in the
old days!
Historic Holland
Duration: 09:30 – 18:00 hrs
Price: € 60 per person (lunch included)
Our first stop is in Hoorn. By nostalgic steam train we depart
for the medieval town of Medemblik, located at the former Zuiderzee.
We board a steamer to Enkhuizen where we will visit the outdoor
Zuiderzee Museum (entrance ticket included). You will see how people lived in cities and villages around the Zuiderzee during the
past seven centuries. |

Monday 6
June
Windmills / Edam
Duration: 09:30 – 17:30 hrs
Price: € 75 per person (lunch included)
This excursion leads to ‘De Zaanse Schans’ a small 40-house
community just to the North of Amsterdam on the banks of the river
Zaan. You will see characteristic houses and windmills from the 17th
and 18th century. We will visit a mill in full operation and a
wooden shoe factory. On the way back we will visit the medieval town
of Edam, which was a famous trading port in the 16th century and is
well known for its cheese.
Bicycle Tour
Waterland / Countryside
Duration: 09:30 – 17:00 hrs
Price: € 50 per person (lunch included)
The coach will take you from the RAI Centre to the starting point
of this tour where bicycles are waiting for you. By ferryboat we
cross the Y-river into the open country of this spectacular
waterland area. We will pass through centuries-old villages such as
Ransdorp, Zunderdorp and Monnickendam. At Broek in Waterland we
enjoy a pancake lunch. The tour ends in the centre of Amsterdam,
near the train station. The distance of the cycling tour is about 40
kilometres and as you know Holland has no mountains! |
