We would like to invite all participants to attend the
President’s Reception and participate in the Silver Mill
Competition. The Organising Committee has chosen the Amsterdam
Convention Factory as the venue for this congress evening. The 17th
century was the era of the VOC and trade with the East Indies. With
the tall three-masters, this was also the peak in the shipbuilding
industry. The ships were built at the wharf on the island of
Oostenburg. That island now forms the basis of the success of the
Amsterdam Convention Factory. The historic factory premises were
converted into an impressive event centre, while the industrial
characteristics were maintained. An outstanding event at an unique
location. |
